About the Job
At MKS Instruments, we’re at the forefront of innovation across various industries, from 5G technology to space exploration. As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in the design, development, and documentation of vacuum valve hardware for isolation and pressure control. Your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the design, documentation, build, and testing of vacuum isolation and pressure control valves.
- Utilizing CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks for 3D designs and 2D drawing packages.
- Creating effective geometric dimensioning and tolerancing schemes for design documentation.
- Selecting materials and design features based on specifications, performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
- Presenting technical information effectively in both oral and written forms.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech, M.Tech) with 1-5+ years of experience.
- Recent graduates with relevant internship experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in vacuum sealing design and linear/rotary actuator is advantageous.
